ARTIST OPINION:
On first opening the box the Modern 212 cab came in, it was immediately clear this was a quality piece of gear, the build quality is second to none really neat and tidy and feel very solid and well put together. The sound coming from this cab has its own character; it is very punchy with a strong bottom end that doesn’t become muddy even when the bass is cranked on the amp (Engl Fireball). The top end it’s clear and precise and doesn’t produce a fizzy sound like some other cab can. The speakers in this cab are the Hesu custom Demon speakers and I have to say I am impressed, having used V30 type speakers for years, these speakers deal with the fizzy, brittle top end sometimes associated with the Vintage 30 speakers.
